Christine L. Crilley is a general practice attorney with over thirty years of experience. Although Christine is an experienced litigator, she is also a Collaborative Lawyer with membership in the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals as well as the Collaborative Lawyers of Eastern Iowa. Christine is also an experienced Mediator, Mediation Trainer, Parenting Coordinator, Parent Coach, and Arbitrator.
Christine earned her J.D. degree, with honors, from the University of Iowa in 1983 and her B.A. degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1979. Christine has a General Practice of Law including but not limited to: business law, family law, probate, wills, personal injury, construction law, criminal law, collaborative law and mediation.
In addition to her law practice Ms. Crilley is also an accomplished Mediator as well as a nationally approved Mediation Trainer. Christine has mediated over 2,000 cases since she began mediating in 1999. She offers basic Mediation training and advance Mediation training several times per year. She presents seminars and Mediation Training at her Mediation and Law Center in Hiawatha, Iowa and throughout the state of Iowa.
As an Advanced Practitioner of the Association for Conflict Resolution as well as a Linn County Family Law Roster Mediator, Christine mediates in a variety of different areas of the law and disputes, including but not limited to family law, real estate, construction disputes, probate disputes, organization conflicts (workplace, office, school, churches) business agreement disputes, and civil litigation.
Christine has sat on numerous Boards including the Iowa Mediation Services of Eastern Iowa, Iowa bar Alternative Dispute Resolution Section Council and Chair of the Linn County Fee Arbitration Committee, and past board member of the Iowa Association of Mediators. She is a current or past member of various legal organizations and mediation / dispute resolution organizations.
Ms. Crilley also speaks for and trains various organizations on a variety of law and dispute resolution related topics.
Paralegal & Mediator
Leah is a trained paralegal and mediator. She completed her 40-hour Family Law Mediation training in January 2022. Leah is completing her Associates of Arts degree at Kirkwood College and will be transferring to the University of Northern Iowa in the Fall. She is a Sociology major pursuing a law degree.

Mike graduated from Iowa State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising Design. He is responsible for the design and production of collateral print materials, website design, and marketing. Mike is also a Mediation Intake Specialist for Crilley Mediation Services.
